Yellowjackets
Warning : SPOILERS forwards for Yellowjackets time of year 3 , episode 4 , " 12 Angry Girls and 1 Drunk Travis . “Yellowjacketsseason 3 ’s latest twist has confirmed a massively rough world about the present - solar day survivor , and it ’s making me more worried about the outcome of the show ’s adult timeline . Yellowjacketsseason 3 , episode 4 ’s endingdelivers a disgraceful blow by revealing Lottie ’s death in the present - day story . This come in as a shock , as viewers find out about Lottie ’s demise alongside Misty — and we even get glimpse of her hold up about her day earlier in " 12 Angry Girls and 1 Drunk Travis . "
It ’s not exculpated what causes Lottie ’s decease inYellowjacketsseason 3 , but installment 5 should shed further light on the incident , especially with Misty on the case . Although many expected a death or two in the show ’s retiring timeline by now — particularly with theWilderness trial against Coach Bengetting so nasty — things seem to be heating up more chop-chop in the present - day story . And with Lottie drop dead so soon afterNatalie’sYellowjacketsseason 2 end , TV audience must face a distressing accuracy about the character who endure the Wilderness as teens .
Lottie & Natalie’s Deaths Mean None Of The Adult Survivors Are Safe
The Rest Of The Characters In The Present-Day Timeline Are Also Fair Game
After Natalie ’s destruction atthe closing ofYellowjacketsseason 2,Lottie ’s fate confirms a harsh truth about the part in the adult timeline : none of them are safe . Although it initially seems like most ofYellowjackets’deaths will take lieu in the preceding timeline , the show is quickly show otherwise . Despite how few main theatrical role there are in the present - sidereal day tale , the series is more than unforced to kill them off . There ’s no plot of ground armor in either timeline , and that means that Lottie may not be the last of the adult survivor to meet a unrelenting end .
Tai , Van , Misty , and Shauna are all clean game in and beyondYellowjacketsseason 3 , as it seems the Wilderness is claiming them , even years after their rescue .
Viewers should n’t get well-heeled after Lottie ’s destruction , either , as the show killing her and Natalie off so close together mean it could claim another grownup character before time of year 3 is through . Tai , Van , Misty , and Shauna are all fair game in and beyondYellowjacketsseason 3 , as it seems the Wilderness is claiming them , even years after their rescue . While it ’s still not clear if a supernatural force is truly behind these tragedies , or if it ’s just the answer of all they ’ve been through , the show refuse to go slowly on them .
The Adult Survivors' Biggest Threats Have Always Been Themselves
Their Deaths Stem From Their Inability To Let Go Of The Wilderness
Perhaps it ’s not surprising that the adult survivors are meet gruesome ends inYellowjackets , as they ’ve establish that they ’re the boastful menace to themselves . While much of what unfolds in the retiring timeline can be chalk up to misfortune and desperation , so much of what befalls the adult survivors is due to their own action . Natalie dies while trying to protect Lisa from Misty . However , none of them would have been in that berth if the girls had n’t seek another hunt to appease the Wilderness , years after escaping it .
Shauna ’s guiltiness over Jackie ’s destruction is evident throughout Yellowjackets , but she at last has her big moment of karma in season 3 , episode 4 .
Lottie ’s death also seems to be in response to what happened in the Wilderness , though it ’s unclear if it ’s due to suicide or if someone stamp out her over the past . It ’s possible she was even trying to communicate with the Wilderness , like Travis , who also decease because of his need to pursue it . Yellowjacketsseason 3 is substantiation that the survivors are stuck in the past , and that past is haunting them in serious path . It could localize its sights on one of the others , like Tai or Shauna , now that it ’s claim its price from Lottie .
