Most significantly , she will have to confront the theatrical role she played in the death of Jackie ( Ella Purnell ) . Shauna would also have to lose the power she has gained , and she is not uncoerced to let go of that , especially so soon after being crowned the radical ’s new leader .

Shauna ’s guilt trip over Jackie ’s death is evident throughout Yellowjackets , but she finally has her biggest moment of karma in time of year 3 , episode 4 .

At this point inYellowjackets ' 1990s timeline , Shauna is a powerful individual who is valued and feared by her peers . She is further defined by her prowess with a knife and her power to intimidate others into submission . In the wilderness , Shauna knows precisely who she is , but if she snuff it back home , the identicalness she has built for herself will not be the same . With Jackie fit , she may not have to live in her tincture , but there is no telling who she will be . This terrify Shauna , so she will do whatever she can to avoid returning to civilization .

Tai’s Decision To Stay Is Influenced By “Other” Tai & The Man With No Eyes

The Real Tai Is Not In Control

Tai is fearful of the consequences that will descend with returning nursing home . This include a heteronormative society that will still make it unmanageable for Tai and Van ( Liv Hewson ) to be together . As is often the case when Tai is in mellow - stress situations,“Other " Taitakes control of her , which is shown by the alteration in her expression and the presence of the Man with No eye . When Tai inform the group that she is staying , it is n’t her draw that decision , buther other ego , who is making an utmost choice to make do with the substantial Tai ’s fears .

She has a connection with the wilderness , and being in this setting has allow her to manifest more than she was capable to back home . Unfortunately , the rest of the group does not understand what is really happening with Tai , and with her usually being a phonation of intellect , others may take a firm stand on staying as well .

She Has The Most Reason To Stay

In the wilderness , Lottie ’s word and her visions are treated as sacred wisdom . This is a stark juxtaposition with her life back home , where her visions and the voices she hears are view as to be nothing more than mental illness . Lottie ’s dadostracizes her for her condition , and she is squeeze to undergo electroshock therapy and to be heavily medicate . She has no intellect to return to this kind of anguish when her current realness is a much better position for her .

Lottie has already killed Edwin to avoid go away home , as she does not want to lose the meaningful purpose and power she has acquired . Having already murdered someone , it is no surprise that Lottie is now refusing to go along with Natalie and the rest of the group . Shauna and " Other " Tai do not need to leave either , butit is Lottie who is the first to make her stand hump , with Shauna and " Other " Tai following her principal . This places the group in a precarious situation asYellowjacketsseason 3 header into its terminal two episodes .
