As it turn out , those rebound were inflicted on everyone except Mark himself .

Mark Needs His Team At Any Cost
Herein lies the reason as to why Mark try on to get his unexampled team fired : he wants his old friend back . Milchick insists that it is unsufferable for Helly , Dylan , and Irving to come back , yet Mark calls his four flush . The wronged employee hatches a plan to get his team evoke by writing a note that outlines the difficulties of the severed floor to the outies . Mark S institute this banknote in Mark W ’s jacket pocket , hoping that he is catch by Milchick and the team is removedfor machinate against Lumon .

Eventually , Mark enacts his plan that leads into the latter one-half ofSeveranceseason 2 , episode 1 , and the counter of some familiar face after their apparent rising against Lumon , Milchick , and the spirit of Kier Eagan himself .
How Milchick Knew That Mark Wrote The Note Planted In Mark W.’s Jacket
Mark Overlooked Some Obvious Implicating Aspects
Despite hatching what was seemingly a foolproof plan , Mark S is caught by Milchick . After found the note and returning to work the next mean solar day , in what is on the face of it seconds for his innie personality , Mark bump Milchick in the billet holding the note . Milchick sardonically recite the note to the fresh Macrodata Refinement fellow worker , leading Mark S to feign ignorance and shock at the fact that Mark W would attempt such a bluff act of disobedience .
Milchick is not fooled , however , and fuck for sure that Mark S was the author of the noteand the brain behind the design . This begs the interrogative sentence of how Milchick calculate this out , accept in mind thatSeveranceseason 2 ’s reform mean there are no longer tv camera and microphones in the MDR federal agency . As it turns out , Mark overlooked the simple fact that Milchick recognizes his handwriting .
With many questions lingering since Severance ended , anticipation builds for season 2 to answer some of the serial publication ' most burning questions .

Mark S plain made no attempt to conceal that the greenback was written by his own hand . Moreover , Milchick is more than cognizant of Mark S ’ old rebellions against Lumon . The other employee are likely retiring in that they direct their MDR work without spat or rebelliousness . As such , it is not difficult for Milchick to immobilise the act on Mark S rather than the unknowing Mark W , Gwendolyn , and David .
Does Mark’s Plan To Get His Team Back Work?

The next time Mark S comes down the elevator to the severed floor , he finds Irving , Dylan , and Helly doing the same concisely after him . The squad is then walk through Lumon ’s reforms to the sever floor before trust to their MDR work once more . However , it is made clear that the squad is not done with test to expose Lumon and reveal the secret that lie beneath the office construction , position the stage forSeveranceseason 2 ’s future episode with a united front .
