Severance ’s Break Roomis where severed employee are sent to be punished after they give way the rules . Helly is sent there in season 1 after her go attempts to escape the Severed Floor . She is forced to repeat a transit hundreds of times to Milchick until he believe that she means what she is saying . In season 2 , episode 6 , Milchick essentially create his own Break Room by repeatedly recount himself to"grow"while looking in the mirror . He begin by saying he must"eradicate from your essence childish folly"until the phrase is simplified to"grow . "
Severance season 2 has create a lot of confusion so far , but the dynamic between Milchick and his assistant , Miss Huang , is genuinely foil .
It is heartbreaking to see him penalize himself for the way he speaks , which was unfairly highlighted as a point of business in his employee reappraisal . Milchick is punish himself in the same elbow room he punished Helly , repeating the word until he believes he think what he is saying . Milchick is not severed , but he has internalized some of the thinking thrust on the severed employee , and is now using these tactics on himself . He believe this is what he must do to better serveKier Eagan ’s teachingsand to stop being run by his own feelings and beliefs .
Will Milchick Finally Snap & Turn Against Lumon In Severance Season 2?
Milchick Has An Important Choice To Make

At this item , Milchick is still loyal to Lumon , but he is about to reach a crossroad where he will have an important determination to make . He will either become more fell towards the Innies or turn against Lumon . Since his " kindness " have not give in the productive results that he thought they would , he may feel that mercilessness is the only way to get theMacrodata Refinement Departmentto cooperate . He can embrace becoming more of a drumbeater follow Kier ’s teachings and put away the ways that Lumon has made him feel uncomfortable .
Milchick may be at his breaking point , which could involve him rise against Lumon .

Lumon insult him with blackface paintings of Kier , demeans him for having a robust vocabulary , and does not revalue the many sacrifices he has made for the company . He may even team up with the Innies and with Cobel , who can be united by the injustice they have faced as they fight back against Lumon inSeveranceseason 2 .
