Commander Nick Blaine is one of the most virtuously ambiguous characters inThe Handmaid ’s Tale . He has often been see helping out June and the otherThe Handmaid ’s Taleprotagonists , although he is still a leader of Gilead and carries out some horrible atrocities . However , The Handmaid ’s Taleseason 6 , sequence 5 may contain Nick ’s most treasonous act yet , one that he ca n’t come back from .

The Handmaid ’s Taleseason 6 , episode 5has arrived , with it chronocling another dangerous journey back into Gilead for June and Moira . After find out about Mayday ’s design for Jezebel ’s , the yoke decides that they must admonish the womanhood who work in the Gileadean brothel . However , thing go awfully wrong , with June and Moira finally vote down a guard duty . as luck would have it , Commander Lawrence is there to help . Meanwhile , Nick is carry on with the repercussion of himshooting two Guardians in instalment 3 , with him realizing that he must take some drastic action mechanism to cover his tracks .

Nick Almost Certainly Did Kill The Guardian In The Handmaid’s Tale Season 6, Episode 5

Although It Isn’t Confirmed

Although one of the Guardians died after Nick shoot him , one managed to survive . Thissurviving Guardian could easily shit on Nick , although he is still in pitiable status at the time of episode 5 . Thus , Nick adjudicate to give him a visit . Nick start to the hospital where he finds the seemingly comatose Guardian with his grieving wife . The wife leaves Nick in the elbow room with the Guardian alone , with the Guardian awake up . Nick put his hand on the Guardian ’s shoulder , asserting dominance and implying a threat before he depart the hospital way .

The Handmaid ’s Tale ’s season 6 villain has become an exciting secret , as his actions do n’t quite align with his High Commander situation .

However , Nick jazz that this is n’t enough . Immediately after walking out of the room , he turns around and reenters . This time , he closes the door behind him , not allow the looker to see what he is doing . However , it seems obvious that Nick is killing the Guardian . It is likely that Nick knows there is no escaping his crime if the Guardian dwell to tell masses what pass . A terror would n’t be enough to keep him unruffled , withNick realizing that the only elbow room to protect himself is to ensure that the Guardian is dead .

There May Be No Saving Nick Now Anyway

Unfortunately , Nick may be doomed whether or not he kill the Guardian . Nick is patently a suspicious figure in Gilead , withepisode 5 proving that Commander Whartondoesn’t fully trust him . It will be backbreaking for Nick to get away with killing the Guardians even if he kill the adult male in the hospital . Another death immediately after Nick showed up will only make more fingers to be pointed at him , with him quickly becoming a suspect in their death . The womanhood who was in the room could make the connection , getting Nick caught .

However , Nick is in bother even if he did n’t kill the Guardian . The living Guardian saw Nick kill his friend and fool away him , meaning that he will immediately alert the authorities . There was no escape for Nick if the Guardian was still alive , explaining his motivation to kill him . Unfortunately , killing the first Guardian inThe Handmaid ’s Taleseason 6 , episode 3 seal his fate , and no matter what he does , he is going to pay for his crimes .

What’s Nick’s Endgame In The Handmaid’s Tale?

Nick ’s motivations have been mysterious throughout the entirety ofThe Handmaid ’s Tale , with his end game in the Hulu show being one of its biggest interrogative sentence . Everyone else inThe Handmaid ’s Talehas a clear remnant finish . June wants to save Hannah , Commander Lawrence wants to start New Bethlehem , Aunt Lydia has to coiffe up herThe Testamentsarc , etc .
