After what must have been about a 15 - hour flight from Barcelona , Spain , to the San Fernando Valley in California , Johnny and Miguellearned that Carmen and the baby were doing A - Okay , and at the pregnant woman ’s urging , they fly back to Barcelona to re-start the Sekai Taikai . The extra 15 - hour flying seemed to have no impact on the duo at all , and they jump off right back into the tournament without missing a pulse . Since they left after one event and returned in time for the next , they somehow pinch over 30 minute of travel in a 24 - hour period . Sorry , Cobra Kai , but absolutely not .
