A Nightmare on Elm Street

Sandberg has show his talents in the horror genre , not just with hisThe Conjuringspin - off but also 2016’sLights Out , and it looks like he ’s still got ideas for rebooting some classic . During a discussion of his new picture , the Swedish film producer was ask which dealership he ’d like to have a go at and he picked some cult favorites :
" I ’ve been suppose about what fun franchise New Line has likeA Nightmare on Elm StreetandCritters . Might be fun if you contain something like that in a dissimilar direction from late instalment . Like instead of remakingNightmareyou do some continuation of it in the same Earth sort of thing . "
Wes Craven ’s originalA Nightmare on Elm Streetwas released in 1984 , introducing the iconic repulsion baddie Freddy Kreuger , and since then there have been eight more movies in the franchise . The last movie , released in 2010 , was a remaking of the original and exchange Robert Englund with Jackie Earle Haley in the primary role , with the group of young teens he terrorized made up of Rooney Mara , Thomas Dekker , Kellan Lutz and Katie Cassidy .
Critterswas free two years afterNightmarein 1986 and had a more comedic pure tone as it followed two intergalactic H.M.S. Bounty hunters on a mission to capture fly the coop aliens ( called Krites ) that shore on Earth and began menace a rural township in Kansas . There were a sum of four films in the franchise , with the last one released in 1992 , though it did n’t do as well as critically or commercially as theNightmareseries .
Critterswould certainly be a playfulness one for Sandberg to have a fun with , specially as the original feeling of the flick is rather different to the dark and sinister revulsion photographic film he ’s known for . And if he was looking to takeCritters"in a different focus from previous instalments " then his disturbing and menacing style would be on the dot that .
New Line may well want to blank out the 2010 remake ofA Nightmare on Elm Street- which was crucify by critics - by having a fresher take on the franchise , and Sandberg could well be the director for the task . BothLights OutandAnnabelle : Creationhave gain much critical praise but he is in the middle of workingon a subsequence to his 2016 repulsion film , star Teresa Palmer and Alexander DiPersia , so he may not be capable to confide to any unexampled movies right on now .
TheAnnabelle : Creationfilmmaker will also be kept busy withdirecting the firstShazam!movie , a joint endeavor from DC Comics and New Line ( give up through Warner Bros. ) , but if he does a in effect chore with the superhero cinema - schedule for release in 2019 - he may well be able to pick and choose his projects in the future tense .
